Posing as a delivery driver and bribing the gate guard with a mouse, Donovan sneaks into the Legation and rescues his son. But Diana sees him and orders Klaus to follow and kill Donovan. Klaus gives chase on a motorcycle, but Donovan gets away when a special device on his van releases an oil slick onto the road. However, Sean doesn't have much appreciation for being rescued and tells his father that Klaus will find him and kill him.
Nathan Bates's special associate, Mr. Chiang, makes his first appearance. He has news of a girl exhibiting extraordinary powers at the Sixth Street Cinema. Surely it can't be the Star Child, because Nathan Bates thinks she's only eight years old and the girl at the theatre was probably around sixteen. But the girl reportedly left with Kyle Bates, so Nathan's interest is piqued. He orders Mr. Chiang to find Kyle and report back.
Donovan returns to the Embassy one more time to get his son back. With a diversion from Ham, he sneaks in and finds Sean and Klaus together. Donovan and Klaus fight, and just as Klaus is about to use his whip to defeat Donovan, Mike ducks and Klaus's whip strikes an electric utility box, killing Klaus. Sean picks up a pistol and is about to shoot Donovan, but he can't. Instead, he runs out of the room to Diana's side. Donovan escapes the Embassy without Sean, but he vows to keep trying to save his son. Robin finally finds her way to the Club Creole. Elizabeth is not there, but Julie prepares Robin with the information about her daughter's recent change. Eventually Elizabeth returns and is reunited with her mother. |
