Technician

The following describes the appearance of a typical Sirian technician, as well as several other low-level personnel.

Technicians wear the standard-issue coverall seen on all male and female Sirian personnel throughout the fleet, with only subtle variations. The coverall is a one-piece jumpsuit composed of a material similar to Terrestrial cotton fabric, but more resilient. The detachable "breastplate" features insulating material and padded shoulders. All markings on the coveralls, including rank and piping, are black, except for some specialties (namely security) whose markings may appear in gold. The symbol of the Supreme Leader, the so-called Visitor logo, is worn on the right of the breastplate by enlisted men, and on the left by their officers. Sirian personnel of every rank wear boots composed of a vinyl material, with hard plastic soles and fasteners.

The uniform itself most often appears in the Fleet Standard rust color, especially on the West Coast of the Terran North America region. The uniform is also seen in white, black, and light green, corresponding to fleet service units deployed in Midwest and East Coast regions of North America, as well as other parts of Earth. Typically, Sirian personnel top the uniform with a black duty cap. Often, the standard photo-sensitive glasses complete the dress.

Shock Trooper

The soldier, or shock trooper, is the backbone of Sirian ground forces. Troopers are generally deployed in squads of three or more, functioning as dismounted infantry units.

The shock trooper wears a protective helmet composed of a strengthened polymer, coated with a surface material impervious to all but large-caliber bullet hits. The helmet also has a reflective finish to inhibit the effectiveness of glancing laser strikes. The tinted visor is polarized and can be adjusted to varying degrees of translucence by the trooper. The visor protects the eyesight of a trooper in combat, as the "muzzleflash" of the energy weapon is devastating to the Sirian’s sensitive eyes. The shiny black breastplate worn by all shock troopers is composed of closely-woven polymers and sylenium fiber. This lightweight piece is impervious to all but Teflon-coated projectiles and is fireproof.

The standard weapon of soldiers is the high-output energy rifle, usually supplemented by a similar but smaller pistol worn on the right hip. Tactically, shock troopers lack initiative and usually function best when being directed in brute force "wave" attacks against enemy positions or close assaults. Tactical planning resides firmly in the hands of officers and security personnel.

VIP/Officer

High dignitaries and officials are afforded the most leeway in dress codes. Following is a description of typical dress variations.

One of the more popular uniforms for top-level female Fleet officers and VIPs is a variation of the standard coverall. The variations include a detachable breastplate more similar to those of shock troopers, but interwoven with metallic fibers for a shimmering, glossy effect. The uniform garment itself is very sheer, similar to a Earth-fashion leotard in cut. Designed to allure as well as show rank, this particular variation is popular throughout the fleet.

The boots are modified standard issue, with spiked heels and severe toe in the style of fashionable terrestrial women’s footware. The uniform can be found in red, yellow, silver, and blue, but the most popular color by far is white, as worn by the Los Angeles mother ship commander, Diana.
